3 Travel Apps I Never Delete (And Why They’re Worth the Hype)

3 Travel Apps I Never Delete (And Why They’re Worth the Hype)

I test dozens of travel apps every year (so you don’t have to). Most get deleted after one trip. But these three? They live on my phone year-round because they actually save me money, stress, and time—every single trip.

1. Hopper – For Flight Price Predictions

I don’t book flights in the dark anymore. Hopper tracks fares and tells you whether to buy now or wait—and I’ve seen it predict price drops by hundreds of dollars. Even if you don’t book through it, the alerts are worth it.

2. TripIt – For Auto-Itineraries

This app organizes your trip in one place by pulling in confirmations from your email. Flights, hotels, car rentals—it builds a timeline so you don’t have to dig through your inbox at the airport.

3. Google Translate (with Offline Mode) – For International Trips

This one’s a lifesaver, especially in countries where English isn’t widely spoken. You can download languages for offline use and even point your camera at signs or menus for instant translation.

Bonus: Why You Still Need a Human (Like Me)

Even the best apps can’t find you the perks, upgrades, or custom routes that a travel advisor can. I use these tools, too, but I also combine them with my connections and research to get clients better rates and stress-free planning.

Email me if you want me to build a seamless, app-supported trip for you—so you can skip the scrolling and just enjoy the adventure.
