Trin’s Pick: Sedona, Arizona – Red Rocks, Wellness Vibes, and Starry Skies
There’s something about Sedona that stays with you long after you leave. Maybe it’s the way the red rocks seem to glow at golden hour, or how the air feels calmer the second you arrive. It’s grounding, healing, and just a little bit magical.

If you’re craving a destination that blends natural beauty, wellness, and adventure, Sedona checks all the boxes. It’s one of my favorite U.S. getaways for couples, solo travelers, and anyone who needs a reset—without needing a passport.
Why I Love It
Sedona is all about slowing down and soaking it in. Hike a red rock trail in the morning, enjoy a massage or sound bath in the afternoon, and end the day with stargazing or dinner with a view.
It’s a place where you can be outdoorsy and indulgent in the same day—and that’s my kind of balance.
Best Time to Go
- March–May: Ideal temps (60s–80s), perfect for hiking and wildflowers.
- September–November: Gorgeous weather and fewer crowds.
- Winter (Dec–Feb): Peaceful, chilly mornings + cozy vibes. Light snow on the red rocks = dreamy.
Where to Stay
There are so many incredible options here—from luxury resorts to cute desert casitas. A few client-favorite stays:
- Enchantment Resort: Nestled in Boynton Canyon, this resort is known for views, spa services, and trail access right from the property.
- L’Auberge de Sedona: A romantic creekside retreat perfect for couples, with cozy cabins and outdoor dining under the trees.
- Amara Resort: Modern, centrally located, and great for first-timers who want walkable access to shops and restaurants.
✨ I book all of these with perks like daily breakfast, $100 spa or resort credits, and room upgrades when available.
What to Do
Whether you’re into hiking, healing, or just taking in the views, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your time here. A few of my top picks:
- Cathedral Rock or Bell Rock Trail: Scenic and iconic hikes that offer unbeatable views.
- Chapel of the Holy Cross: A spiritual stop with panoramic sights and striking architecture.
- Spa day or sound healing session: Many resorts and local studios offer energy healing, massages, and guided meditations.
- Jeep tours + stargazing: Sunset jeep tours through the red rocks followed by epic night skies = yes, please.
